01 / Research

A Universe that won’t sit still.

My work combines observational radio astronomy with large-scale data analysis. I use widefield surveys and targeted follow-up observations to discover and understand sources that change over time.

Long-period radio transients

Investigating mysterious, repeating radio bursts and their physical origins, including the link between long-period transients and accreting white dwarf binaries.

Ultracool dwarfs & radio stars

Using polarised radio emission to find dwarf stars and probe their magnetic environments, including periodic radio pulses from the T8 dwarf WISE J0623.

The late lives of supernovae

Searching for supernovae that brighten again at radio wavelengths years after explosion, revealing the material surrounding the star and its history of mass loss.

Surveys & follow-up. My research draws on ASKAP’s VAST and RACS surveys, with observations from facilities including ATCA and MeerKAT. I also investigate linear polarisation variability in active galactic nuclei with CSIRO.
